On Wednesday afternoon, a shooting outside a complex of schools in Oakland, California, left six adults injured.
After shots were fired outside the King Estate complex, police said they had no suspects in custody. There have been no victims reported.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, three victims were in critical condition at a hospital in the Bay Area. Three additional patients were transferred to a different hospital, where one patient was later allowed to leave.
Life-threatening injuries were sustained by two people, according to local ABC affiliate KGO.
The Rudsdale Newcomer High School, the Bay Area Technology School, the Rudsdale Continuation School, and the Sojourner Truth Independent Study are all located in the same complex.
Police did not specify whether any of the injured adults were students under the age of 18. The shooting had no impact on the neighborhood elementary school.
It is still unknown why there may have been violence.
