French club Paris Saint-star Germain’s forward Neymar da Silva Santos Jr. landed in Doha, Qatar, early on Friday morning, and had successful surgery at Aspetar, the world’s preeminent orthopedic and sports medicine facility, in the afternoon.
A highly skilled surgical team from Aspetar, including Professor Peter D’hooghe, Aspetar CMO, renowned ankle specialist Pierre James Calder from Fortius Clinic London, and Brazilian surgeon and national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar, oversaw the procedure.
The ankle surgery went well; it was successful, reducing the risk that the player would experience a recurrence of the injury. The player is now resting and recovering from the procedure.
It’s important to note that Aspetar serves as the Paris Saint-Germain team’s official medical partner.
