In Lagos, his home state, Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, defeated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the APC.

Obi defeated Tinubu with the majority of the votes, despite Tinubu winning more local government areas.

The 20 local governments’ final results have all been released. Tinubu triumphed in 11 local government districts, while Obi triumphed in 9.

As of the results, Obi received 582,664 votes, while Tinubu received 541,850.
