Al Ahli Tripoli of Libya will be the opponent for Al Sadd when the two clubs square off in today’s pivotal Group B matchup in the King Salman Club Cup in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Al Sadd, the top team in their group, will advance to the quarterfinals of the 16-team tournament with a win. The Libyan team, on the other hand, would be eliminated if they lost.

Al Sadd’s assistant coach, Emanuel Infante, said yesterday that the club will devise a special plan for today’s encounter, which gets underway at 4:00 p.m. at the Damac Stadium.

Emanuel Infante, an assistant coach with Al Sadd, speaks yesterday during a press conference.

“We approach this match aggressively with the goal of winning. We do not operate in a random manner. We are always improving from one game to the next, and we intend to give Ahli Tripoli our best effort to win.

Infante emphasized the importance of the competition, where all teams compete on an equal basis and success is determined by performance. It’s too early to talk about winning the championship, he said, adding. Our only attention is on each individual game, and reaching the quarterfinals is our top priority.

With all four teams having an equal chance of qualifying, he also emphasized the necessity for unwavering attention and dedication, saying, “We remain watchful and devoted. We are inspired to give nothing less than our absolute best in order to secure victory by Ahli Tripoli’s exceptional fitness and talented players.

Romain Saiss, a recent addition to Al Sadd, forecast a challenging contest with Al Ahli Tripoli.

“We have another difficult encounter coming up, and winning is essential for us. Additionally eligible is Ahli Tripoli. We should not rely on the notion that we can advance by making only one argument. Our objective is to win and finish first in our group, said the Moroccan defender who recently joined the Qatari football powerhouses.

“I’m thrilled to have played my first minutes with Al Sadd, and I’m pleased with our victory over Al Hilal. Although my physical condition may need some improvement, I work hard every day to be ready and give everything I have to help the team advance to the next round of the competition.

The Al Sadd player expressed hope that both Al Sadd and Wydad would advance to the quarterfinals when asked about his hopes for Al Sadd’s performance in Group B.

“Overall, Moroccan football is in better shape after the recent results,” Sass said as he wrapped off his remarks. “I’m happy of the Moroccan sides, Wydad and Raja, and their participation in this tournament. I hope they have success.

In a different matchup today at the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium, Wydad of Morocco will take against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia at the same time.
