According to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) story, Meta intends to make its microblogging platform Threads available online.
According to the article, the web version will go up soon. The launch plans, according to the newspaper’s sources, are not set in stone and could change.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, stated earlier this month that the business is trying to make the web version of Threads available in addition to enhancing the platform’s search capability. At the time, Zuckerberg stated that it would be available in a matter of weeks.
“For the past week or so, we have been internally testing an early version. Although it still requires some work before we can make it available to everyone, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri added in a post last week.
When Threads was launched, there was a large user turnout; in less than a week, there were over 100 million users. Later, however, there was a rapid reduction in the number of active users and interaction.
Only mobile devices, using the free app that can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, can presently use Threads.
Access to accounts on the platform will be possible from various computers thanks to the web version of the platform, which will function through a web browser.
