An informational meeting about the enrollment of 3-year-old children in the publicly financed kindergarten, which is run by the Early Years Education Department in partnership with the Training and Educational Development Center, was organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE).
The discussion focused on the importance of early childhood education and its impact on developing children’s skills to succeed in the succeeding educational levels and complete their education, as well as the key components of this project and methods of implementation.
Children’s participation in early education would increase their incentive to learn, create opportunities for them to keep this enthusiasm throughout their lives, and help them acquire a preference for learning in infancy. This would be the biggest investment for the revival of states.

The decision to include pre-kindergarten level in the publicly funded kindergarten was made, according to Assistant Director of the Early Child Department Dhabia Al Khulaifi, because of the importance of early years of education and its positive impact on children’s lives, as well as its crucial role in achieving the highest levels of quality in future academic achievement.
According to him, the project is set to begin with the start of the academic year 2023–2024 and would include a sample of experimental kindergartens in densely populated locations.
Al Khulaifi added that all birth data information has been received in accordance with municipalities, and that as a result, the appropriate buildings, each of which has 12 classes, have been chosen and vary between two Al Khwarizmi Kindergarten in Umm Salal and Zekreet Kindergarten for Girls in Al Daayen Municipality are two kindergartens for females. Abu Hanifa Model Independent Kinder Garten of Doha City and Al Manar Kindergarten in Al-Rayyan are two kindergartens for guys.

Fatima Al Qahtani, director of the Early Child Department, stated that the division has worked with a group of kindergarten mentors and a qualified team from the education sector to create lesson plans and a manual for female teachers that includes the daily schedule and suitable learning strategies for the age group by relying on local and international curricula in preparing them based on children’s growth characteristics to be positively reflected on.
