On Saturday, Louis Vuitton turned a bridge over the Han River into a sizable runway for its most recent collection.
The premium fashion house’s pre-fall collection, which comprised sunglasses, chunky black-and-white loafers and sandals, as well as a variety of enormous, vibrant bags and smaller ones adorned with the label’s insignia, was displayed by models as they strolled down the Jamsugyo Bridge to music.
K-pop stars like Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation, members of Le Sserafim, and Yeji from ITZY, as well as actors like Chlo Grace Moretz, Jaden Smith, and “Squid Game” director Hwang Dong-hyuk, were among the attendees at Louis Vuitton’s debut South Korean exhibition.
Before the lights shifted and the bridge was bathed in an ominous blue, the performance began with a rush of traditional Korean music.
Due to the popularity of K-pop music and the increased interest in South Korean film and television productions abroad, international luxury brands have recently been eager to enter the country.
