The Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) organization, which also owns and manages seven professional and amateur team franchises, six venues, and two media networks, recently saw the acquisition of a minority investment by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). With one of the most diverse ownership groups in the sports sector, MSE is one of the most valuable sports and entertainment companies in the world.

MSE’s platform offers distinctive potential and scalability for expansion and partnerships as one of the most integrated sports and entertainment enterprises in the nation.

Many significant US businesses in a variety of industries, including real estate, technology, consumer products, and healthcare, count QIA as a stakeholder.

The investment QIA made in MSE is consistent with its goal of making high-quality, long-term investments.

The 2018 NHL Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards, WNBA’s 2019 Champion Washington Mystics, NBA G League’s Capital City Go-Go, and Wizards District Gaming and Caps Gaming, an esports sub-brand of the Capitals, are just a few of the teams owned by Monumental Sports. Additionally, MSE is a co-owner of aXiomatic, which owns a majority stake in the prominent esports organization Team Liquid.

The Monumental Sports Network, which MSE also bought in 2022 and renamed after the Washington Wizards, Washington Capitals, and Washington Mystics, is the sole local TV rightsholder for those teams’ games.

Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League and Wizards District Gaming of the NBA 2K League both have their TV and digital homes with the same firm. Additionally, it has the following properties: Caps Radio, Wizards Radio, Monumental Productions, an in-house video content development studio, and Monumental Outdoors, an out-of-home broadcast company.

Capital One Arena, a venue for live events in Washington, D.C., is owned and run by MSE. The largest esports and entertainment venue on the East Coast, District E Powered by Ticketmaster, was introduced by MSE in March of this year.
