Qatar once more denounces the destruction of the Holy Qur’an

atar took part in the yesterday video conference-convened Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the ongoing occurrences of desecration and burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark.

Qatar was represented at the meeting by H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In her remarks prior to the meeting, she reaffirmed Qatar’s vehement condemnation of the crime of desecrating and burning the Holy Quran, describing it as a racial crime intended to incite hatred among peoples, and urging collective action to stop the recurrence of such crimes that violate international law and humanitarian values.
