Paris Saint-Germain strengthened its defense by bringing in Milan Skriniar on a five-year deal and added some firepower to its lineup with the addition of Marco Asensio on Thursday.
A day after introducing new coach Luis Enrique, PSG made its first two summer signings.
Asensio signed a three-year contract with PSG that runs through June 2026. The left-footed striker represented Real Madrid in three Champions League finals and three Spanish league championships. When Enrique managed the Spanish team, he had already collaborated with the latter.
Asensio, who like Skriniar signed on a free transfer, remarked, “It’s a privilege to be a part of this great club.” “I’m excited to join my new teammates and collaborate with them to accomplish some fantastic goals.”

“There’s always pressure when you join a club like Paris Saint-Germain,” Skriniar said. “I feel it a bit, but I feel I’m ready, ready to be part of this really big club. But I love pressure. I’m a defender, so we know what it’s all about.” Skriniar has played 60 games for Slovakia and scored three goals. He won the Italian league title with Inter in 2021.
