Nine people were killed in the fatal attack carried out by unidentified gunmen in the Cameroonian city of Bamenda, including a newlywed couple.
The victims, Simplice Lontsi Tsomene, 37, and his wife Hélène Raisa Tanga, 25, were well-known for being proud owners of a phone shop as well as being devoted parents to their three children.
The attack, which occurred at a busy intersection, is being blamed on separatist militants by the authorities. According to reports, the attackers ordered individuals to lie down as soon as they pulled up in two unmarked vehicles.
