All you need for this to work for you is a heart that wants to be happy.
Here’s s a list of seven practical ways to make a happy living.

1. Keep helping others

Caring about people around you is great fundamental to your happiness. Helping others is not only good for them — it’s good for you (us) too. Giving a helping hand makes us happier and can help to improve our health since you won’t have to worry much about how the person next to you is enduring.
Giving also creates stronger relationship between people and helps to build a happier society for everyone. It’s not all just about money. We can also give our time, ideas and support.
This indicates; if you want to feel good around everyone, do good to everyone. Offer a helping hand, give away your change, pay a compliment, or just make someone smile. Reach out to help someone around who’s struggling. Give them a warm call or offer your support. Let them know how much you care.

2). Connect with more people

Your daily relationships with other people is also one of the most important thing for your happiness.
Anyone with strong relationships is always happier, healthier and live longer. Your close relationships with family and friends provide love, meaning, support and increase your feelings of self worth.
Broader social networks today brings a sense of belonging. So it’s very vital that we take necessary action to strengthen our relationships with others and make new connections.
You should always make time for the people who matter. Message and chat with a loved one or friend, call your parents or play with the kids. Make two to three extra connections today. Learn to chat with people around, wave at a neighbor, learn the name of someone new.
Although not everyone around is worth making friends with and that’s why its good to get to know people around you. That way you’d be able to decide which would be good for your connection.

4). Have set goals to work towards

While feeling good about the future is really important for your happiness, you still need goals to motivate you and these have to be challenging enough to excite you, but should be also achievable.
If we try to attempt the impossible, it creates unnecessary stress.
Its not about just choosing meaningful but realistic goals that gives our lives direction and brings a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when we are able to achieve them.
Take the first step. Think of one special goal you’re aiming for and do one thing to get it started. Make a call, fill in forms, tell others — including everyone around you.
Share your dreams. Tell three people about one innovative aspiration that is really important to you everyday and listen to theirs too.

5). Keep learning more

Learning affects our lifestyle in lots of positive ways. It exposes us to new ideas and helps us stay on the cutting edge of curiosity and engagement.
Learning also gives us a sense of accomplishment and helps boost our self-confidence.
There are many ways to learn new things throughout our daily living, not just through formal qualifications.
We can share or learn a skill from friends, join a club, learn to sing, learn to write, play a new sport and so much more.
Do something new for the first time today. Try a new route, read a different newspaper, pick up a new hobby that can help your daily life or visit a local place of interest.
Learn something new, however small. A skill, first aid technique or a new feature on your phone, perhaps.
All these things are really important as much as learning never ends.

6). Be yourself — who you are

Nobody’s ever perfect. But many times we compare a view of ourselves with an unrealistic negative view of other people.
Trying to dwell on vain — what you are not rather than what anyone think you are and what you truly are is what makes it more harder to be happy.
Learning to accept yourself, flaws and all, and being kinder to yourself especially when things go wrong increases your enjoyment of life, your resilience and well-being. It also helps us accept others as they are.
Key act;
Ask a friend you trust or colleague to tell you what they think your real strengths are. Try to make more use of these and Improve yourself.
Be more kind to yourself as you are to others. See your mistakes as opportunities to learn more than you’ve known. Notice every single thing you do well, however small.

7). Engage in something bigger

Everyone who have meaning and purpose in their lives are happier, feel more in control and get more out of what they do. They as well experience less stress, anxiety and depression. But how and where would they find meaning and purpose? It might be from doing a job that makes a difference, your religious or spiritual beliefs, or your family, your hobbies.
The answers vary for everyone but they all involve being connected to something bigger than ourselves.
Become a part of something bigger. Spend time with children, visit an inspiring location, gaze at the stars or join a club like I mentioned before.
Consider being more charitable. Give others your time, offer to help your neighbours or friends. Help your business partners, sponsor a young entrepreneur’s start-up or give credible advice. Everything goes a long way.

Whatever it is you choose to do everyday, make sure you’re able to find happiness in it. Don’t go after anything to please anyone. Live your own life, be health, happy and productive.
