helicopter lost in Nepal near Mount Everest with six people on board

On Tuesday, a foreign tourist-carrying helicopter from the Nepalese region of Mount Everest went missing and communication with the aircraft was lost.

On Tuesday morning, the chopper was returning to Kathmandu while transporting five foreign visitors on a sightseeing excursion to the highest mountain in the world.

Weather, according to airport representative Sagar Kadel, had forced alterations to the helicopter’s flight path.

During the monsoon season, when there are often significant downpours, aircraft frequently get delayed and their routes adjusted.

A search was being conducted for the missing aircraft.

With the start of the rainy season in May, the tourist and mountaineering season came to an end. Now is not the best time to fly tourists to the mountains since visibility is poor and the weather is unpredictable.
