Hayya Platform resets the guest list for the Qatar World Cup 2022 Host Family

1 min read

The Hayya Platform sent an email to Qatar residents who hosted family and friends during the FIFA World Cup the previous year informing them that their list of registered guests has been reset.

Residents can now add new visitors to their registered property, according to the mail.

Mohammad Kazi, a resident, confirmed receiving this email and added that the guest list had been cleared when he checked his Hayya platform. It appears that they will need to add my address to their Hayya application once more since my relatives who visited during the World Cup are no longer visible on the platform, he said.

As stated in the email, the Hayya application status of family members and friends who visited Qatar during the World Cup will not be impacted in any way.

Due to this reset, all visitors will once more need to choose one of the authorized methods of residence before visiting the State of Qatar, such as hosting family and friends, making a hotel reservation, or using other online platforms for lodging reservations.

The Hayya Card’s validity was recently extended by the Ministry of Interior (MoI), allowing its holders from outside Qatar to enter the country through January 24, 2024.
