Drug pills were seized at the border crossing in Abu Samra

The Land Customs Administration stopped a drug smuggling attempt at the Abu Samra crossing and seized narcotic pills.

The illegal drugs were reportedly discovered during a vehicle inspection, according to the authorities. 340 pills of Neurontin (gabapentin) and 90 pills of Neuroplex (gabapentin) were discovered inside the car, according to a statement from Qatar Customs.

The items were taken away and given to the police.

The Postal Consignment Department of Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs recently stopped an attempt at drug trafficking after discovering narcotic pills inside a shipment of candies. The pills were concealed inside the boxed packaging of the candy in several social media posts.
