The Doha Women Forum will host yet another event to unite women from various cultures and backgrounds in order to inspire and empower them. This event is being organized in partnership with the US Embassy in Doha, L’Occitane, and Mondrian Doha, as well as WASL Events Marketing.
The Sisterhood Act, which will take place on March 5 from 4 to 5.30 pm, aims to acknowledge the opportunities and resources that will support embracing equity.
The event will adhere to the International Women’s Day theme of “#EmbraceEquity,” in which the ultimate goal of gender equality can be achieved through the process of equity.
The Muslim American girl group Aint Afraid, which consists of the twin sisters Inah and Yahzi, will perform during The Sisterhood Act. Through their music, fashion, and art, Aint Afraid is committed to empowering, inspiring, bringing together, and motivating people everywhere. Their fusion of contemporary pop, hip hop, soul, and R&B has amassed millions of streams in less than a year since they made their recording artist debut in June 2020.
The event will give women the chance to network, connect, and meet in person. Asmaa Al Kuwari, the founder of Asmaa Consultancy and co-founder of The Global Businesswomen, and Natalie Sader, an author, psychologist, and coach, will also give motivational talks. Wadha Alathba, a life coach and trainer, will serve as the event’s host.
The Sisterhood Act will host an art exhibition featuring works by artists Maryam Naser, Lina Alali, Saida Albader, and Noof Almerekhi to promote local talent and give local artists a platform to showcase their expertise and share their perspectives with a larger audience.
“We are so proud to bring the extraordinarily talented Aint Afraid from the United States to Qatar for the Doha Women Forum and to be a part of The Sisterhood Act,” said US Deputy Ambassador Natalie Baker. Everyone who attends the Ain’t Afraid performance will be motivated and inspired. In anticipation of their visit, we have been listening to their music at the US Embassy for weeks. It is the ideal way to recognize Women’s History Month.
According to Lynn Elladki, brand manager for L’Occitane, the company is dedicated to empowering women. We strongly believe in empowering women through leadership, entrepreneurship, and education, and we are pleased to report that we have had a positive influence on a great number of people’s lives.
The Sisterhood Act will take place at the venerable Mondrian Doha’s newly inaugurated Patio by Walima. Given Mondrian Doha’s ongoing dedication to empowering women, the spectacular terrace location with its breathtaking sunset views makes the ideal backdrop setting to celebrate International Women’s Day.
