Customers of Qatar Central Bank are immune from additional fees for consumer lending

On Thursday, July 27, 2023, Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced that it had chosen to exclude customers from paying any additional expenses on consumer financing, loans provided against customers’ income, and loans granted to specific crucial industries in the nation. This decision was made in response to state directions.

According to the QCB, the exemption decision was made in light of the global increase in interest rates and the ensuing increase in interest rates in accordance with monetary policy criteria.
