On Sunday, a passenger plane carrying 43 passengers crashed into Lake Victoria in Tanzania while it was flying over the northwest town of Bukoba.
The weather is to fault for the accident.
The trip from Tanzania’s commercial hub, Dar es Salaam, to Bukoba, a village on the shores of the continent’s largest lake and the source of the Nile, carried 43 persons in all, including 39 passengers, the two pilots, and two staff members.
On Sunday afternoon, rescuers used ropes and cranes to raise the plane out of the ocean and collect survivors.

The aircraft ran into issues with terrible weather when it was around 100 meters above the ground, according to William Mwampaghale.
“The plane crashed into the water while it was raining. Everything is in order. Firefighters from the province of Kagera and the army’s rescue mission chief are on the site.
“They have everything they need to handle safety and rescue operations. The airplane is currently being sought after through rescue attempts.
A hospital has received an evacuation of at least 26 persons.
The president of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, sent her sympathies to those impacted by the accident and urged people to maintain their composure as the rescue effort went on.
