The Qatar Aeronautical Academy celebrated the graduation of 90 students from six majors for the 2022–2023 school year, including the first group of students pursuing an advanced master’s degree in aviation safety management.
The advanced master’s program in air safety management, nine graduates from the pilot training department, 24 graduates from the department of aircraft engineering and maintenance, 33 graduates from the department of aircraft engineering and maintenance, three graduates from the advanced program in airport operations management, 20 graduates from the department of air observation, and one graduate from the department of meteorology all received certificates from Minister of Transportation H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti.
Sheikh Jabor bin Hamad Al Thani, the director general of the Qatar Aeronautical Academy, gave a speech to congratulate the graduates and praised their efforts to succeed in order to contribute to the advancement of aviation.
The Director General of Qatar Aeronautical Academy stated that the Academy has made great efforts over the past years to achieve a prestigious position by concluding numerous agreements, memorandums of understanding, and accreditations from foreign universities to raise the level of disciplines offered to students and to give them the opportunity to study abroad.
He continued by saying that the Academy has updated its fleet of training aircraft, hired the best instructors, added the newest training equipment, expanded its technical training laboratories, and improved its library to better prepare its students for the tasks and responsibilities of their chosen aviation specialties, particularly in light of the intense competition and growth that the aviation service sector and market are currently experiencing.
The first batch of the advanced master’s program in aviation safety management was graduated at the ceremony, adding to the accomplishments of the Qatar Aeronautical Academy and affirming its ongoing development to achieve advanced levels of air safety and security under the guidance and support of the Ministry of Transport.
In collaboration with the French transport ministry-accredited National School of Civil Aviation (ENAC), the Academy has begun offering an advanced master’s program in air safety management.
Nine students have registered in the program in accordance with their employment and areas of expertise, the majority of which are workers for the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and Qatar Aeronautical Academy.
