Fans at the Bills-Bengals game on Sunday gave Buffalo safety Damar Hamlin a standing ovation when they saw him on the video screens watching the game less than three weeks after his on-field cardiac arrest.

For the AFC Divisional Round playoff game at Buffalo’s Highmark Stadium, Hamlin made the heart symbol with his hands, held up three fingers to represent his number, and raised his arms to excite the capacity crowd.

Before the game began, the Bills tweeted a video of the 24-year-old entering the stadium with his parents, older brother, and mother.

Since collapsing shortly after making a tackle during a Bengals vs. Bills game in Cincinnati on January 2, Hamlin has made an incredible recovery.

On the field, as stunned players from both teams sobbed, prayed, and hugged each other, his heartbeat had to be revived. The match was delayed and then called off.

Hamlin received an outpouring of support from the public after the terrifying national television broadcast of him receiving life-saving CPR on the field. Supporters prayed outside his hospital window and donated millions to his charity.

On January 11, he was released from a hospital in Buffalo and went back to his house.
